Colour palettes

Trend services like WGSN are a great resource for design and colour information, but colour inspiration can come from anywhere as long as you keep your eyes open.

While I was waiting to collect my sewing machine from  John Lewis haberdashery department the balls of wool caught my eye and I liked how they had been grouped in colour stories - some quite surprising ones amongst them. It's funny to think that in the early days of Premiere Vision the colour palettes were given to all exhibitors as physical colour chips and wool swatches - see last photo of colours from Premiere Vision Indigo 1997
