I went to the private view of the Sonia Delaunay retrospective at Tate Modern on Tuesday. She worked across many disciplines including fashion, textiles, fine art, costume and set design, advertising and interior decoration. Her aesthetic concentrates on geometry and abstraction and she favours a primary colour palette.
Just back from a flying visit to La Bisbal, a pretty town in Northern Spain. For such a small town, it has an abundance of great vintage and antique shops full of architectural salvage, art, furniture, ephemera and clothes from the 40s thru to the 90s.
As promised, some more home textile ideas and original prints.
